How I Got Back Into Shape With My Childrenas Trampoline

Last year, I told my husband he was nuts for wanting to buy a trampoline. Our boys are quite young, and that concerned me. Once the trampoline came, however, I realized he was right. The boys were crazy about it.

Before I knew it, the boys had talked me into trying it as well. I knew I was over 35 and out of shape, but I figured it was worth a shot. Just the thought of it made me think Iad gone crazy too, but it didnat take long before I was having as much fun as my sons were. I know we bought it for the children, but the whole family has come to enjoy it.

Every day it seemed as if we were staying on the trampoline for longer periods of time. I soon discovered that my health was improving and that my jeans were not as tight. I had been physically active my whole life, and it was rather depressing to see my muscle tone fade over the years. Those initial few pounds lost gave me quite a thrill!

Every day, we spent a little longer on the trampoline, until we were up to over an hour. It really was a lot of fun! The boys would get a good workout that would wind them down some, and they were getting stronger and healthier in the process as well.

I think Iam the one who benefited the most however. My legs got so toned that I was able to start working with horses again. In addition, I lost all the extra weight that had stayed on long after the boys were born. It was now much easier to keep up with the boys. And the best part was that I lost so much weight, I had to buy all new clothes!

My sister finds it hilarious that my first trampoline came along under the guise of being our children’s trampoline. Since she has never seen the benefits, or experienced the pure joy of playing with kids on a trampoline, I tell her not to knock it until she tries it.

While this trampoline is still in wonderful shape, I have been looking recently for a replacement trampoline. Iad like something a bit bigger, now that the boys are growing. There are some rectangular shaped varieties available, which would give us a bit more room to learn how to flip and do complicated tricks. Looks like even more fun to be had!

If you think someone whoas 35 canat learn how to use a trampoline, youare dead wrong. I would recommend this type of exercise to anyone looking for an easy way to improve their health and have fun at the same time. You can get all the benefits of a cardio workout while relieving stress and building muscle. Just ask my family what a great idea this can be!
