Matching Your Suit and Tie

Have you ever noticed how some people simply never look right in a suit and tie? It could possibly be that they are the type of person who would look untidy regardless of what he’s wearing. I have a son who is exactly like this. It would make no difference if he were well groomed and dressed in a smart Armani suit he would still look like a sack of garbage.
Another reason for this could be that the suit, tie, shirt and shoes just do not complement one another. In a number of cases, this is the very origin of the problem. A majority of the men are not in a position to match the entire outfit, or just couldn’t be bothered with it.
The saying goes “clothes maketh the man” and you should always make an effort to look your best. This should be the case whether dressing for work or simply to socialize. It’s not difficult.
It is by no means an easy task to select a suit which will agree very well with a shirt and tie you already own. Hence, it makes sense to begin with the suit. Presumably, when you purchased it, you must have paid attention to the design, material and the shade. If it was tailor-made, the tailor must have had adequate information about every one of those aspects. Unless you want to appear somewhat garish, go for plain dark shades.
If you need a power suit, it needs to be navy blue with a clean, plain white shirt and a plain dark contrasting tie. A white shirt with a plain dark suit always looks formal and business - like. Alternatives are pastel shades of blue. Again the tie should contrast and match the tone of the suit.
Ties with a pattern tend to be more informal in their use and should be worn as such. They must be avoided when wearing patterned shirts because the impression will be that there is just “too much happening” within the attempted look.
Lighter colored men’s suits require pastel colored shirts. These can match up well with patterned ties. A nice darker, striped, silk tie would be perfect.
If your suit, shirt, and tie are multi-colored you should try to make sure that each one has at least a bit of color from the suit’s main color. Second opinions and looking in the mirror are always a good idea.

However while common people may not bother about their dresses so much the celebrities need to pay a lot of attention to their dressing. This is imperative as they always have the focus of media on them. If a model or actor is caught in an ill fitting dress in any event that becomes a headline in the newspaper. He or she has to think of factors like the venue, the event, time of day and many others. However appointing a stylist alone does not solve all the problems. One needs to have a sense of color matching for getting the best results. Not everyone look their best in a bold dress. One needs to know how to carry off a particular type of dress with elan. Going through the fashion magazines and Internet based fashion review sites is a good idea.
However it is a wrong idea that the best quality dresses are available in niche boutiques. Sometimes one can come across quality and designer dresses in not so popular small boutiques. Using proper ornament and accessories is also important for making a style statement. Before buying a dress that has caught someones fancy it is practical to try it at the shop. It is foolish to buy a dress that look great but does not fit nicely on ones body.
The fashions change according to the season. It is often seen that people prefer subtle and sober shades in winter but in summer they wear bright and vibrant colored dresses. While reading the lifestyle and fashion magazines help to an extent, one needs to think on his own.
